The English football season continues on pause amidst the global fight with coronavirus whilst midfielder Forshaw is continuing to recover from hip surgery.

Speaking as a guest on Colin Murray's 52 podcast sponsored by Grosvenor Casinos, Forshaw gave his view on who he believed should be named United's player of the year with the midfielder praising the talent and further potential of Ben White and Kalvin Phillips.

Forshaw, though, believes the 2019-20 accolade should be handed to Northern Ireland international Dallas who has shown versatility in droves having been deployed as a left back, right back, centre midfielder and winger in the current campaign.

“As someone who can go on and be the best, I would say Ben (White) or Kalvin (Phillips)," said Forshaw.

"Previous last year and in terms of what they do for the team when they play I would say Pablo (Hernandez)."

"But I would say Stuart Dallas at the moment, he would be my player of year all day.

"He will play anywhere on the pitch for you and he is a manager’s dream.

"He will run through a brick wall for you.

"He deserves this break and needs to be recognised for what he does.

"I call him the Championship’s James Milner. He’s absolutely fantastic.”
