3. Leeds United 4 Vfb Stuttgart 1, September 1992
The Whites battled back from a 3-0 away defeat. And an eight minute appearance from ineligible Jovo Simanic earned them a date with destiny in the Nou Camp. The rest is history.

Goalkeeper Paul Robinson proved the hero at both ends of the pitch. Scored a glancing header deep into stoppage time before saving Andy Gurney's effort in the penaty shoot out to send Leeds through in the Carling Cup.
