Thomas Christiansen opens up by telling the media that the players were very busy while away in Spain: “We didn’t rest for one single day. I’m glad how the week went. The weather in Murcia allowed us to work twice a day. The atmosphere is good & the response is excellent.”

Christiansen being coy on transfers with the January Transfer Window coming to a close on Wednesday night, simply telling the gathered reporters that they would have to direct that line of enquiry to Victor Orta, the club's director of football.

A bit of team news to come out from Christiansen, revealing that goalkeeper Andy Lonergan WILL be in the squad heading to the KCOM, despite interest from other clubs in the No 2 goalkeeper, including bottom club Sunderland.

January arrival Adam Forshaw will be in the squad to face Hull meaning it is likely he will be making his debut at some point, possibly from the bench. Caleb Ekuban remains sidelined - back in 10-14 days according to Christiansen. Long-term injured full-back, Luke Ayling is obviously missing still, while Liam Cooper, Samuel Saiz and Kalvin phillips are all - of course - unavailable through suspension.

Christiansen: The squad has to be strong enough. It’s difficult with the red cards but I’m confident in what I have.”

Christianse was asked about signing a new striker and repeated his view that January is a "difficult market" - but he didn't rule it out.

Without wishing to place too much emphasis on Tuesday night's Yorkshire derby, Christiansen admitted that Leeds needed a result. Hope’s the time away in Spain has done his players good.

Adam Forshaw also speaking ahead of tomorrow's game, tells our man Phil Hay that he thinks Leeds still have a great chance of making the play-offs - adding that the Hull game is 'must-win.'

Forshaw was tempted to play against Millwall, he says, but the right decision was made not to risk a slight calf tear that he arrived at Elland Road with from Middlesbrough. He is recovered and fully fit and desperate to get his Leeds career started tomorrow night.
