Leeds United inside track: Three things to watch out for at Fulham

Leeds and Fulham have been inseparable of late with neither side able to come away from the fixture with three points in the last five meetings.

The Whites played out a 0-0 draw with the Cottagers earlier in the campaign, with the previous four league fixtures all ending in a 1-1 draw. The last time the two sides were separated was over three years ago in March 2015 as United claimed an impressive 3-0 victory in West London.

Sam Byram, Sol Bamba and Mirco Antenucci gave the Whites an impressive victory that day and with another trip to Fulham on Tuesday Paul Heckingbottom's men will need some magic again if they are to come away with a positive result against high-flying Fulham.

The task has been made all that bit harder with the hosts on a club record run of seventeen games unbeaten.

The one man with the United spell - Tom Cairney

Tom Cairney has been somewhat of a thorn in the side of Leeds United in recent seasons.

The 27-year-old has been directly involved in six goals in his last five appearances against United and broke the travelling fans hearts last campaign with an unstoppable strike in the 96th minute to rescue a point for his team which ultimately led to the Whites play-off demise.

The midfielder missed the trip to West Yorkshire earlier this campaign but has scored in each of the previous three games he has played for Fulham against Leeds.

Before he made the switch to West London he grabbed two assists for Blackburn Rovers in a 2-1 win back in 2014 and just a year later notched himself in a 3-0 victory at Elland Road.

If Leeds are to have any success on Tuesday keeping the man quiet who was once on their own books at Thorp Arch is an absolute must.

The one who makes Fulham tick - Ryan Sessegnon

Ryan Sessegnon made his league debut for Fulham against the Whites back in August 2016 and it's fair to say since that day he hasn't looked back.

The 17-year-old initially began life at left-back but has since moved further up and now plys his trade on the wing. The youngster is one of the most highly-rated talents outside of the Premier League and remains the Cottagers top goalscorer this season with 14 goals and 5 assists so far.

Sessegnon has a host of top flight clubs chasing his signature but will be hoping he can help guide Fulham to the promised land this campaign as they continue their chase for promotion.

United have the task of keeping the youngster quiet on Tuesday with many teams ahead of them having failed miserably in their attempts.
