Irish international midfielder O’Kane missed Tuesday night’s loss at new leaders Cardiff City through illness, while versatile Dutchman Anita was rested for the clash in Wales after being substituted in the second half of Saturday’s 3-2 win at home to Ipswich Town.

But both players are now in contention to feature in Sunday’s clash at Hillsborough for which suspended centre-back Liam Cooper and injured striker Caleb Ekuban will be United’s only absentees.

Cooper serves a one-game ban after being sent off for picking up a second yellow card in Tuesday’s clash at Cardiff while Ekuban is continuing to recover from surgery to correct a broken bone in his foot.

Asked about the latest situation with O’Kane, Whites head coach Thomas Christiansen said: “He is in and Anita is also in. So the only two who are out are Caleb and of course Liam because of the suspension.

“Everyone else is ready so we will face the situation in the right way.”
