Whites head coach Heckingbottom made three changes to his side for Sunday's Championship hosting of Bristol City with Caleb Ekuban, Pablo Hernandez and Vurnon Anita replacing Kemar Roofe, Gjanni Alioski and Kalvin Phillips.

With Alioski and Roofe both dropped, Hernandez and Stuart Dallas were handed starts out wide - Dallas moving up from right back to right wing with Anita in the team - and Sacko was then given a longer stint than normal when brought on as a 66th-minute substitute for Dallas.

Sacko was used very sparingly by former Whites head coach Thomas Christiansen but the winger was one of the first two substitutes called for against the Robins as part of a double change that also saw Roofe replace Ekuban as Leeds fought back from being 2-0 down to salvage a 2-2 draw.

"He's impressed, that's why he was in there," said Heckingbottom of Sacko.

"I'll judge people on what I see and that's it."
