Leeds office builds own French cafe to screen Euro 2016 games at work

Staff at a Leeds marketing agency won't be leaving their office for today's England-Wales clash - after bosses built their own Parisien Cafe on the premises.

Banana Kick employees, clients and business partners will be able to enjoy a croissant and even a beer as they watch the Euro 2016 match between the home nations from the comfort of their workplace.

Company directors decided to open Chez Banana Kick and order in pain au chocolat, coffee and French beer on tap for an authentic matchday experience.

“With our staff being well-equipped to manage their workloads around the big matches, we’re more than happy to offer them the opportunity to enjoy Euro 2016 in style,” said director Gary McCall.

The agency specialises in sport and leisure marketing from their offices in the Roundhouse Business Park.

“We sought inspiration from host nation France, and the result was the creation of Chez Banana Kick – LS12’s very first Parisian Café that our staff and guests can drop in to throughout the tournament, including for England’s big showdown with Wales.”

The firm has 42 staff and a client list that includes Asda, the Rugby Football League and Yorkshire Bank.
