Only this time they were shared between the two teams.

Joe Stuart was the main man for Whitkirk Wanderers Sunday, while Adam Fowler and Bradley Francis-White netted four between them for Main Line Social.

In the Premier, the title race was blown wide open as top-of-the-table New Pudsey leaked four goals against Horsforth Fairweather and could manage only three in response.

The league leaders benefited through Chris McCarthy’s two goals and an individual effort from Joe Thorp but were undone by Rob Wilson’s brace and goals from George Lancaster and Dave Howarth.

Chapel Allerton, meanwhile, are still winless this campaign as they fell to a 3-0 home loss against East Leeds Celtic.

In Division One, Oulton Athletic continued their recent resurgence as they made it two wins from two with a 2-1 victory over Sporting Pudsey, courtesy of two goals from Tom Blackburn.

Elsewhere, East End Park closed the gap on South Seacroft to seven points with two games in hand thanks to a hard-fought 3-2 away win against New Armley Blues. Mark Ferguson continued his fine goalscoring form and Ryan McQuade also slotted the ball home but their goals were overturned and New Armley Blues suffered a disappointing loss.

The final match in the division saw The Woodcock ease a 4-1 win over Harehills WMC.

Josh Kitchen, Martin Roebuck, Chris Ward and Danny Alcock all scored to inflict a heavy defeat on Harehills, who now find themselves loitering dangerously close to the foot of the table.

In Division Two, Matthew Bowes and Richard Wheelhouse were forced to share the headlines as well as the match ball when both of them hit hat-tricks for Hunslet Club Sundays in a 7-1 win against FC Western Juniors. As a result, Western Juniors will remain at the foot of the division.

Three first-half goals from Lee Robinson (2) and Scott Goodall secured Crown & Anchor a well-earned three points.

In the second round of the LUTY Cup, FC Beechwood squeezed past hosts Old Hall Town with a 4-3 win on penalties after a 3-3 draw.

Joe Phillips, Kean Varley and Brandon Stansfield were the normal time scorers for Beechwood.

Sporting Pudsey Reserves scraped past nine-man Bramley Lions in a 4-3 Mawson Cup thriller, writes JACK BRAIN.

Daniel Robinson scored a brace for Bramley Lions and Michael Hunter added a goal before being sent off for a second bookable offence. Dean Wood also suffered the same fate as his team-mate. Jamie McGougan, Conner Ward and Jack Irwin left the game finely poised and Adam Shaw found the net in a win that was anything but.

A meeting between Athletico Bramley and New Moorside produced the same 4-3 scoreline, with New Moorside coming out on top. Dan Adjibona was the hat-trick hero for New Moorside, going one better than Callum Sutcliffe’s double for Bramley. Chris Pilmoor (Bramley) and Michael Smyth (New Moorside) were also on the scoresheet.

AFC Travellers thumped Headingley Rovers 5-1. Paul Barrett scored twice for Travellers for whom Jack Hill, Daniel Flesher and Gordon Booth also struck. Jamie McLaren netted for Headingley but he found himself up against a team of Mercedes.

Four Division 3A matches produced 25 goals, with a ten-goal thriller between hosts Pudsey Athletic and 7-3 victors Original Oak the stand-out match. Connor Campbleton, Adam Cole and Tom Needham were all on the scoresheet for Pudsey but Oak made sure that they took advantage of title rivals’ AFC Travellers’ cup commitments by reducing their lead at the top of the table to four points.

A 96th-minute Eddie Clayton winner for Bardsey gave them a 4-3 win over FC Armley, moving up three places to fifth. Haydn Bowler (2) and Jack Barker built a good foundation for Armley but Jordan Deacey’s brace and a goal from Josh Hughes looked to have grabbed Bardsey a draw until Clayton’s last-minute winner stole all three points for Bardsey.

Second-bottom FC West Leeds bagged a welcome 3-2 win at home to third-bottom Old Crooked Clock while Northern Star came from behind to beat Republica Internationale 2-1. Thomas Rush gave Republica the lead before Star formed a comeback through Andrew Querishi and substitute Kieran Deighan.

In Division 3B, Kirkstall Crusaders Academy continued their flawless start to the season, making it five wins from five with a 2-1 win over Amaranth Athletic.
