The Clubmen are still propping up the Jubilee Premier table but are now only a point adrift of the two teams above them - second-bottom Kippax Sunday and last weekend’s defeated opponents Whitkirk.

Samuel Nelson netted for Wanderers with Mathew Hatch hitting the target for the victors.

Kippax, meanwhile, managed to keep their noses in front of resurgent Seacroft with a 2-0 victory over visiting Bardsey Sunday.

Only one game was played in Division 1, Hunslet Club Sundays First pulling off a surprise to edge leaders Wykebeck Arms 2-1.

Hunslet are fifth in the table with 10 points while Arms raced away early in the campaign and, despite last Sunday’s setback, still hold a massive 13-point advantage over second-placed Oulton Athletic First who, in fairness to them, have three games in hand on the pacesetters.

Churwell kept the pressure on leaders Scholes with a 7-2 win at third-bottom Halfway House.

Lewis Mawson hit a hat-trick for the hosts but George Bowles went one better for Churwell with four goals with Luke Bayliss, Ben Bedford and Helder Figueiredo also on target for the visitors.

Scholes have two games in hand on Churwell and stay top on points difference thanks to Sunday’s 4-1 win at bottom side, Republica Internationale.

Third-placed Beck & Call were too strong for visitors Western Juniors OB. It finished 4-1 with goals coming from Arnold Fyfield, Daniel Gale, Jamie Halsall and Ishmael Mills for the hosts and Simon Doughty for the Juniors.

Fourth-placed Harehills WMC showed second-bottom hosts West Yorkshire Falcons no mercy, the Clubmen easing to a 7-0 victory.

All seven goals were shared between just two players. Barnaby Foster edged the in-house goals battle with four while David Morley chipped in with a hat-trick.

In Division 3, Farnley Rangers were sunk 8-1 by visitors Crown & Anchor, and Swarcliffe FC First shot down Northern Star First 4-2.

In Division 4, there were away wins for FC North Leeds and Bramley Amateurs FC Rerserves at Amaranth Crossgates and Club 97 respectively, while North Leodis recorded a 7-0 success over Sporting Pudsey, and Oulton Athletic Reserves went down 4-1 at home to Headingley Rovers Res FC.
