Captain Liam Bridcutt, who is back available from a one-match ban, has to make do with a place on the bench as Monk keeps the faith with Eunan O’Kane and Ronaldo Vieira in centre midfield.

Top scorer Chris Wood also starts upfront, despite a barrage of false rumours on social media that the striker could be injured.
