Boss Lee Clark is confident Huddersfield Town can stay in the top two – even if it’s not good for his health!
The Terriers put Clark through the ringer last weekend when going 2-0 down before eventually seeing off visiting Brentford 3-2.
The success left Town second in League One on goal difference and, ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Tranmere, Clark is adamant his men can stay there.
“It is very possible,” said Clark of Town’s automatic promotion prospects.
“At the moment we are chasing the team above us and there are six or seven good teams who are chasing us.
“Those teams will go on good runs so we will have to be consistent.
“It is about winning now, and during these last 19 games if we win 15 of them, and 10 of those wins are achieved like last Saturday’s then, though it won’t be great for my ticker, I will take them!
“It is all about points now.”
It was eventually prolific striker Jordan Rhodes who bagged last weekend’s winner and the goal-getter is also intent on a top-two finish.
“It’s fantastic to be second, as that’s what we’re all aiming and striving for,” said Rhodes. “We want to be in the automatic promotion places.
“However, there is still plenty more football to be played.”
