Nirrenold, 26, has joined Guiseley on loan from League 1 side Fleetwood Town, the club he joined in August 2015, after moving to England from the United States.

The six-foot-four defender started his career in his homeland, France, in the youth system at Stade Rennais.

While in France, Nirennold was offered a deal in the United States where he could study business at Erskine College, as well as play for the college’s side, the Erskine Flying Fleet.

The player then transferred to Nova Southeastern University and played in their side, the Nova Southeastern Sharks.

At the start of the 2015 season Nirennold signed for Premier Development side FC Miami City and made 15 appearances for them.

After a trial in August 2015 Nirennold signed a two-year deal with Fleetwood Town – currently managed by former Leeds United boss Uwe Rosler – and he made his debut for the Cod Army against Lancashire rivals Rochdale.

As Nirennold arrives two Guiseley players go out on loan until the end of the season, with striker Frank Mulhern joining Mark Bower’s Bradford Park Avenue and young defender Will Wells moving to Farsley Celtic.
