Bournemouth have been linked with making another move for Leeds United midfielder Lewis Cook but are looking to use a squad player as a makeweight to fund the deal. The Bournemouth Echo suggest that it could be midfielder-cum-striker Lee Tomlin. Tomlin tweeted three emojis last night before the hashtag “#decisions”, increasing speculation.

Bolton Wanderers manager Neil Lennon has refused to say Mark Davies will definitely be a Trotters player at the end of the transfer window. Sheffield Wednesday have been interested but pulled out of negotiations.

“He is unless someone else comes in,” Lennon reasoned, “which is good news for us.

“It might not be from a financial point of view, but from a footballing one it’s good to hear.

“But that may change over the next week or two.”

Middlesbrough have made a fresh bid for Ross McCormack, according to reports. The Riverside Stadium club made a £6 million move last week, which was turned down by Fulham, but have gone back in with an £8 million move plus Kike as a makeweight.
