Jutkiewicz has resumed training following an injury which forced him to miss Birmingham’s last two games.

The former Middlesbrough and Burnley forward sat out a 4-1 defeat to Queens Park Rangers and a 2-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers but he could return at St Andrews tomorrow evening with the aim of adding to his 11 goals.

Manager Gianfranco Zola said: “Jonathan Grounds and Lukas Jutkiewicz are now back training with us. That’s good news.”

Birmingham have endured a torrid spell of form under Zola, with five defeats from six games prior to last week’s victory over Wolves.

Former Leeds defender Paul Robinson was sent off at Molineux but will feature tomorrow after having his red card and three-match ban overturned on appeal.

“Obviously they are the favourites, they have the advantage, but as long as we play with the same resilience and organisation we stand a very good chance. If we stay together and work together like at Wolverhampton we can get to a better position.”
