Featherstone Rovers v Leeds Rhinos: Hardaker to make debut against familiar faces

Flier Zak Hardaker will make his first Featherstone Rovers appearance of 2011 on Sunday – against his other club, Leeds Rhinos.

Hardaker has played in both Rhinos' trial games so far – including the 36-26 win at Hunslet Hawks two days ago – after joining them from Rovers last October.

But he has been loaned back to the Co-op Championship side for the whole of this year and will be on Featherstone duty in this weekend's pre-season clash.

Rovers coach Daryl Powell said Hardaker, who has been training full time with Leeds, has "muscled up a bit" since last year.

He added: "That's good to see, it's something he needs and it will make a big difference.

"He has always been pretty athletic, that's something he has got naturally. It will be good to see how he goes on Sunday.

"It's a good opportunity for him to play against some of the players who he has been training with."

Rovers, who fielded a reserve side, came through their 36-10 win over Oldham last Saturday with no new injury concerns.
