An injury to centre Sam Smeaton was the only blot on Featherstone Rovers' opening pre-season win over Hunslet Hawks.
Smeaton was hurt in the second half of Rovers' 38-16 victory and coach Daryl Powell said: "He got a knock on a thumb and had to come off. He will probably need an X-ray."
Other than that, Powell was happy with his side's first run out.
"We went all right," he said. "I was pleased with how it went, particularly in the second-half.
"We sharpened up a bit and had an opportunity to give some young kids a chance. They slotted in well, so overall it was good for us."
Powell added: "There's plenty to work on. We only had one field session leading into it so it was difficult, but the guys got on with the job and did pretty well at a difficult time of year.
"It is still early in pre-season."
Rovers' next trial game is at home to Gateshead Thunder on Sunday.
"There's going to be not as many front-line players involved," Powell revealed.
"But it's important to give people an opportunity to show how they have progressed during the off-season."
