A Jonathon Tattersall century set Harrogate on their way to a three-run victory over Yorkshire Academy, writes DAISY YOUNG.
Harrogate batted first and set Yorkshire a tough target of 239 following Tattersall’s century and George Ross’s 52.
Karl Carver did his best to limit Harrogate’s innings by taking 4-76. However, Yorkshire could only manage 236 all out thanks to terrific performances from Tom Geeson-Brown (3-59) and David Foster (4-64).
Mosun Hussain (43) and Matthew Waite (49) top-scored for the hosts but it wasn’t quite enough to overhaul Harrogate’s innings.
A double hat-trick of wickets for David Wainwright helped Castleford on their way to a six-wicket success over Cleethorpes. Cleethorpes were all out for 130 courtesy of Wainwright (6-23) with Alex Osmond top scoring for Cleethorpes with 41.
However, it wasn’t enough as Castleford easily overtook their innings with 131-6 despite the best efforts of Daniel Cliffe (4-43).
Castleford moved up to seventh with this victory whilst Cleethorpes remain in tenth-place.
York beat Doncaster Town by 68 runs with a half century coming from Simon Lambert. York set Doncaster a target of 204 to win but Doncaster could only manage 136 all out after a three-wicket haul from York’s Adam Whatley.
Rotherham Town moved up to fourth following their nine wicket victory over Hull, who set Town a target of 228-9 following stellar contributions from David Barrick (83) and Tom Appleyard (61). However James Moorehouse hit a century for the hosts before Mark Cummins’s 73 not out sealed the win.
Leaders Barnsley recorded a 140-run victory over Driffield Town after hitting 258-9 and Driffield could only manage 119 in return.
