Logan included 16 fours in making 118 and shared century stands with James Wainman (65) and Ryan Cooper (80) as Farsley raced to 343-5. He then took 5-35 to dismiss the home side for 160.

There was another match-winning performance at Woodlands where Chris Brice tore apart the struggling East Bierley batting.

Half-centuries from Greg Finn and Liam Collins saw Woodlands to 202, with Mahammad Hafeez taking 5-44. But any hopes Bierley had of a much-needed win were destroyed by Brice, who took 6-23, including a hat-trick, and winding up the visitors’ 77-run innings with two wickets in three balls.

A second-wicket stand of 162 between Adam Waite (96) and Charlie Best (83) put Pudsey St Lawrence on course for a 125-run win at Scholes but elsewhere calculators had to be consulted to work out the result of rain-affected matches.

After Tom Chippendale’s 6-51 helped restrict Bradford & Bingley to 136, Hanging Heaton needed only 104-0 to win, Gary Fellows (65no) leading the way.

Jonathan Booth (72) and Harry Clewett (64) helped Townville to 197 but a half-century from John Wood saw Cleckheaton scrape home to a smaller target with one wicket in hand.

Marcus Walmsley (75) top-scored in Methley’s 227-8 in which David McCallum took 5-61 but a sparkling 49 not out off 30 balls from Ajmal Shahzad saw New Farnley past the revised total and keep their grip on the top spot.

In Yorkshire South, Jonathan Trower (108) and Harpeet Singh (121) set a league record second-wicket stand of 223 as Barnsley crushed Hallam by 18 runs.

Aston Hall moved out of the bottom two, Awais Zia taking 5-27 and then hitting a quick-fire 28 as he Jack Simmonite (41no) eased them past Appleby Frodingham’s 95 total.

Cleethorpes also moved up, Bill Kirby (56) and Vusimuzi Sibanda (111) taking them past Whiston’s 178-8 target.

The top two had comfortable wins, Sheffield Collegiate beating Whitley Hall with Jack Timby making a half-century, while David Toft (77) and Qaisar Ashraf (50) were the main contributors to Wakefield Thornes’ 235-7, and even when the total was revised down, Doncaster Town fell 20 short.

Wickersley remain third despite being unable to reach Treeton’s DLS total of 153, Iftikhar Afzal (4-37) slowing their progress.

Duncan Snell hit his fifth century of the season and took his total league runs to 926 as Yorkshire North leaders York comfortably beat Driffield Town.

David Wainwright followed up a top score of 69 with a 5-42 spell to clinch Castleford’s six-run win at Sheriff Hutton Bridge.

That allowed Woodhouse Grange to climb above Bridge into second place after Chris Wood (99no) and Simon Tennant (65) had steered them to 261-3 and James Finch (6-40) sparked Clifton Alliance’s collapse to 132.

A late flurry from Tom Neal (50) and Joe Schofield (31) helped Acomb to 197 but Scarborough were seen home by Ben Elvidge (50no).

Brothers Will (85) and Dominic Rhodes (64) were the main contributors to Stamford Bridge’s 283-8 and Yorkshire Academy fell well short even when the target was reduced.

Josh Atkinson (64) and Tom Geeson-Brown (51no) were the main contributors to Harrogate’s 252-8 before Ashley Griffin (5-34) ended Sessay’s middle order fight back at 173.

Aire Wharfe leaders Otley opened up a 28-point advantage after Jonathan Hughes (57no) and David Hester (34no) took them past Beckwithshaw’s 132 total, while second-placed Burley went down to defeat at the hands of Adel, for whom Eliot Audsley (73) and David Foster (5-26) starred.

Delph & Dobcross ended their lean run in the Huddersfield League, Waqas Maqsood (7-52) setting up their win over Golcar, while No 8 Craig Fletcher hit 16 fours in his 94 to put Kirkburton on the way to an 86-run win over Shelley.

Hoylandswaine remain top with victory over Mirfield Parish Cavaliers in a rain-spoiled match while third-placed Broad Oak beat second-placed Honley thanks to a knock of 84 from Dominic Finn.
