Batting first, the Tewits took out some league frustration upon their opponents at Bennett Lane, smashing a massive 357-6. Gary Fellows top-scored with 80 before remorseless knocks at lightning speed followed from Ben Kohler-Cadmore (69 off 45 balls), Callum Geldart (51 off 39 balls), and David Stiff (62 not out off 26 balls).

The stage was then set for Chippendale, who produced remarkable figures of 8-17 to rout Lightcliffe for just 32, with his magic haul including six wickets in eight balls and four from four balls.
