Bradford League: Gormley's all-round effort keeps Yeadon in touch with the leaders
ALL-ROUNDER Damon Gormley helped Yeadon move within 11 points of Championship A leaders Batley following a 64-run success over Keighley.
Gormley top-scored with 46 in second-placed Yeadon’s knock of 190-7 and then took 3-12 as Keighley were dismissed for 112.
Hunslet Nelson missed the chances to make inroads with Batley inactive as they were skittled for 68 en route to a 71-run loss to Baildon (139-6), despite Max Chappel’s 4-28.
Liversedge (112-6) surprised high-flying Undercliffe (111), with contributions coming from Zach Wood (5-32) and Wasim Khaliq (48).
Raheel Ahmed took a magic 5-15 as Ossett (181-7) trounced Idle (71) by 110 runs, while Birstall (82) lost to Saltaire (84-3).
Jack Hughes top-scored with a classy 94 as Championship B leaders Townville (241) dispatched old rivals Wrenthorpe (217) by 24 runs to claim their ninth straight win and move 44 points clear.
James Russell took 4-31 as third-placed Gomersal (109-7) accounted for Bowling Old Lane (107), while Methley (129) got back on track with a 58-run win orer Bankfoot (71).
Brothers Marcus and Eddie Walmsley took 3-25 and 3-9 respectively.
Matthew Holstein took an outstanding 7-45 after earlier hitting 46 as Altofts (193-9) saw off lowly Hopton Mills (120) by 73 runs. Andrew Grey took 4-25 for the losers, Imran Mayat (48) top-scoring for Altofts.
The basement battle saw Brighouse (113-5) account for Hartshead Moor (111), while Evan Edwards (60) and Rob Warriner (5-25) helped Spen Victoria (172) take the spoils against Carlton (136).
