Josh Warrington steps up fight preparation ahead of Carl Frampton bout for bumper weekend of Leeds sport

LEEDS' world champion Josh Warrington continued his build-up towards the first defence of his title against Carl Frampton on Monday with an open work out at Hatton Health & Fitness in Manchester.

IBF featherweight world champion Warrington, pictured, will take on former two-weight world champion Frampton at Manchester Arena on Saturday, December 22.

The bout is part of a bumper weekend for Leeds sport with Leeds United also set to visit Aston Villa for the club’s final Championship fixture before Christmas the following day.

The Villa clash had previously been scheduled to take place the same day as the Warrington fight but Sky have moved the match to Sunday afternoon.
