Ellis is the 14-year-old younger brother of Hunslet’s European Youth Championships silver medallist Hope and Ellis has now bagged his own third national title in three years. The teen is already on the England Boxing talent pathway with Ellis having represented England in two Tri-Nation events, winning gold at both of them. In 2017 he represented England at the European Schools Championships where he won the bronze medal.

Dennis Robbins, CEO of the Hunslet Club and Ellis’ boxing coach said: “Ellis is only 14 years old and has not been beaten in the UK for four years.

“He hopes to be boxing in International competitions in the near future. He is a dedicated and talented young man and I believe that if he continues to improve and develop at the same rate, he could be a future GB boxer entering the major events such as the Worlds and Olympics.”
