Batley Bulldogs: Manning faces charge

Batley Bullldogs' former Leeds Rhinos and Featherstone Rovers back-rower Dane Manning could be suspended for the start of the Northern Rail Cup.

Manning is to appear before the RFL disciplinary committee today charged with intentional striking in the pre-season game against Dewsbury Rams on January 2.

He was placed on report and subsequently charged with a grade D offence.

If found guilty, Manning could face a ban of three to five matches.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs came through their 11-4 win over Halifax two days ago with no major injuries.
