Leeds Force’s BBL game with Worcester Wolves tonight has been postponed because the visiting team were involved in a road traffic collision.
A statement read: “The British Basketball League (BBL) can confirm that tonight’s game between Leeds Force and Worcester Wolves has had to be cancelled and postponed until a later date.
“This is because the Worcester Wolves have been directly involved in a road traffic collision en-route to the game this afternoon.
“Thankfully nobody from the travelling Wolves party have suffered any serious / life-threatening injuries.
“The BBL and both clubs sincerely apologise for these unforeseen circumstances which have left us with no option but to regrettably cancel tonight’s fixture.
“A new date for this game will be communicated within coming days.
“Supporters who have pre-purchased tickets will be able to gain entry for the re-arranged game. Anybody preferring a refund can make arrangements via firstname.lastname@example.org
“Finally, we kindly request fans notify their fellow supporters, friends, family or colleagues who may have been intending to head to the game, in order to ensure they do not endure a wasted trip.”
