Basketball: Leeds Carnegie through to final

Have your say

Leeds Carnegie are through to their first National Trophy final after a 97-78 away victory over Leicester Warriors.

Leeds will face Reading Rockets in the final – a team that has convincingly beaten Carnegie twice this season.

The National Trophy is effectively the league cup for Division One and should Carnegie defeat Reading it would mark a clean sweep of England basketball league cups for Leeds and head coach Matt Newby, who have previously won the Division Two Patrons Cup and Division 3/4 National Shield.

Division One top scorer Adrian Fenyn tallied 20 points for Carnegie, Shaun Clifford adding 11.
