Guiseley were made to sweat before sealing their semi-final spot when winning by four wickets off the last ball of their innings after hosts Follifoot posted 260-8.

Yasar Ali (56) helped Follifoot get up to 142 before being dismissed, but this allowed
No 8 Joshua Cutts to come to the crease and smash seven fours and four sixes in his unbeaten 68 off just 40 balls, which saw his side post a competitive target.

In reply, Guiseley found themselves struggling slightly at 97-4.

But Joe Fisher then came together with Damon Reeve and the pair turned the game around with a match-winning partnership of 158.

Reeve departed just two shy of his century, but Fisher (68 not out) was able to ensure his side’s cup hopes remained alive.

Horsforth’s progression was more comfortable in their five-wicket win over Tong Park Esholt.

The visitors won the toss and were looking comfortable at 96-1 after opener Waleed Akhtar (78) and No 3 James Druce (40) had helped overcome the early loss of Subhaan Ammar.

But once Druce departed, runs seemed hard to come by with wickets falling on a regular basis as they stumbled to 202 all out, Haris Mohammad doing most of the damage with 4-34.

Ben Heritage followed up his three wickets with a half century in Horsforth’s reply, but it was left to Ryan Sharrocks (62 not out) to see the hosts home with just under six overs to spare.

In Saturday’s Division One action, leaders Otley CC hammered North Leeds CC by 198 runs.

After choosing to bat, Otley scored 288-8, thanks to an unbeaten 100 from David Hester and Stephen Brown’s 79. North Leeds were unable to compete as they were skittled out for just 90, Nathan Goldthorp taking 3-13 and Ricky Halloran 3-29.
