These are nine nightclubs in Leeds from the 2000s that are now sadly no longer open. Photos are for illustrative purposes only.
1. Heaven and Hell
Located on Merrion Street, Heaven and Hell was a popular club with many. It closed in the summer of 2006.
2. Majestyk
This cheesy, colourful nightclub closed for the final time in 2006.
3. Club Barcelona
Technically in Birstall, but just a few hundred yards from the Leeds border, this nightclub opened in November 1997, and enjoyed a four year stint in Birstalls Centre 27 retail park. Photo: James Hardisty
4. Casa Loco
A popular place among Leeds clubbers, that sadly shut down in 2004.
5. Town and Country Club
The extremely popular Town and Country Club staged gigs by artists such as Robbie Williams, The Stone Roses and Blur, but sadly closed in the middle of the year 2000. Photo: Peter Thacker
6. Club Uropa
