A person has been taken to hospital after being pulled from the lake at Roundhay Park in Leeds.

Emergency services were called to Waterloo Lake, close to the Lakeside Cafe, following reports of a person in the water earlier today.

Police, paramedics and firefighters were all dispatched to the scene at around 12.15pm.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said the person had been pulled from the water and taken to hospital.
