Youth football team keeps warm thanks to leading homebuilder

The U14s team at Kellingley Welfare Junior Football Club will be warm during match days thanks to a £450 donation from homebuilder Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire for brand new jackets.

The club, which plays close to Taylor Wimpey’s Poppy Grange development has been able to supply all members of its U14s team with jackets ahead of weather turning later in the year.

Jamie Rhodes, Kellingley Welfare Junior Football Club U14s coach, comments: “The boys work together as a fantastic team, going above and beyond to make their club proud, so we’re delighted to be able to reward them with the new jackets.

“We hope they’ll bring us luck and will help the boys to continue playing at their already excellent level.”

The Kellingley Welfare Junior Football Club U14s currently play at the top of the Garforth League and have been crowned National Aces Champions for the past two years, with the hope of winning the title for a third time this year.

Anne Bagshaw, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire, comments: “Local clubs like Kellingley Welfare form the heart of the communities where they play, so we are delighted to be able to offer our full support.
