Team effort

I DON'T know whether the Lord Mayor of Leeds knows his way to Hunslet. He should be dashing there on seeing the delight of four children's faces shown on the YEP's Education page.

The teaching and support staff, at St Joseph's Catholic School in Hunslet merit the warmest congratulations on the success achieved by the delightful children. They came top in 'the annual primary maths competition'.

For this humble school to meet the standard of a test organised by The Grammar School at Leeds, speaks volumes for the dedicated support team.

Come on, Lord Mayor?

Merry Christmas from a former St Joseph's boy, and please let me mention one Forces old pal, amongst others from the same school, who would have been extra proud: Tommy Ruane, he died commanding tanks in North Africa.
