Student trust in Lib Dems gone

LAST Thursday we saw violent protest in London as a result of the ConDems' 80 per cent cut to higher education funding, as warned about by Coun Wakefield in your paper earlier this year.

Some may say that the students should try to make changes using the democratic process rather than through protest, but that's exactly what many thousands of students thought they were doing when they voted in May for LibDem candidates who had signed a pledge to abolish tuition fees.
