note perfect: Opera in the Park provided a high point for audience

Have your say

Opera in the Park at Temple Newsam was a very happy occasion.

Jamie’s Chit Chat on Classic FM during the afternoon, the cheery greetings from the gatekeepers and the lord mayor chatting to some of the audience beforehand, as did the two gifted male singers of the Amore group during the interval.

My gold medal goes to the ladies who controlled the ladies’ toilet queue. If there was a disabled person they were shepherded to the front and looked after and everyone was treated with great humour. Also, the staff who controlled the rubbish collection.

What a shame there weren’t more people there to enjoy it.
