Knock down old school

HERE we go again about the old Royal Park School. What is all the fuss about? It is an old, not particularly attractive, Victorian eyesore.

It was outdated as a useful building when I was a pupil there in 1968 – only then it was called Queens Road School.

Why wasn't this building demolished years ago and the land put to good use as social housing, including a community centre? This would not only provide a focal point for the community but also bring some families back into the area which, in itself, should help counteract the student scourge.
