Farm cost hard to justify

Have your say

IT is bad enough reading of a council-owned car park, costing £40,000 a year to run, is only taking £23,000 in fees (YEP, May 19) but to continue and discover that the Temple Newsam Home Farm is costing £347,000 a year to run is unbelievable, when day centres and drop-ins for people with mental health problems are closing every week, hospitals lack vital equipment and wards are closing to save money. If Home Farm was renamed the funny farm would it still receive all the money?
