Yorkshire weather: Can we expect a return of the sun this weekend?
A cloudy end to the week is expected to break into a pleasant weekend across Yorkshire.

But we are unlikely to see temperatures reach the dizzy heights seen earlier in the month when the mercury rose as high as 30 degrees.
Today’s dry start will soon see cloud thicken bringing occasional heavy rain through the latter part of the morning and during the afternoon, before easing a little by late afternoon, the Met Office said.
Light winds are expected, with fog increasingly over hilly areas and a maximum temperature of 19 degrees.
Tonight it is likely to feel muggy with some rain in the north of the region.

Friday’s forecast is looking better, with cloud and light rain in the morning that should gradually clear by lunchtime.
Sunny conditions are expected in the afternoon with some isolated showers and a maximum temperature of 20 degrees.
The outlook for the weekend is sunshine with scattered showers, with most of the showers developing during the afternoon. Sunday will feel breezier. Fresher conditions than of late, but still warm in the sunshine.
