Escaping the stress and hustle of city living is in fact, coming to the centre of Leeds.
Yoga Hero, which has been working for the mental and healthy well-being of city centre customers for the last two years, has expanded its premises so it can appeal to more people and a growing city centre population.
The expansion, from 250 square metres to 400, at Leeds Dock allows Yoga Hero to offer even more to the Leeds health, fitness and wellbeing community, including children’s yoga, more pregnancy yoga classes, an esteemed eight-week mindfulness course, introductions to yoga and meditation courses.
The new space also offers massage, physiotherapy and alternative therapies, making it a one stop shop for a healthy mind and body in busy city lives.
It will also make the studio one of the largest in the north.
Founder Holly Mcfee said: “Over the last four years, Yoga Hero has inhabited a range of different locations including churches, art galleries, skate parks, shops, living rooms and gardens, before finding our home at Leeds Dock.
“Thanks to the support of our wonderful community - our true yoga heroes – we have expanded in to the space next door which is a beautiful, calm, clean space to provide more yoga, meditation, Pilates and other wellbeing activities for the people of Leeds.”
The first main event across both of Yoga Hero’s studios took place last weekend with the Leeds Yoga & Wellness Festival.
It is the third year it has taken place.
The theme was indulgence; taking time out of busy minds and busy lives to really chill out and find some calm, as well as to try new things and meet some great people, in a calm and indulgent space.
