HE’S A GLOBAL superstar, having being viewed by 27 million people as he completed his first triathlon and he was even the star of the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards.
So, what better person to have supporting a major sporting event in Leeds than Bailey Matthews, the eight-year-old who won the Helen Rollason Award at the BBC event?
He was in attendance at the volunteer launch yesterday (April 17) at Leeds Railway Station for the 2016 Columbia Threadneedle World Triathlon.
Bailey’s enthusiasm is infectious. If a little of it can rub off on everyone else, then the Triathlon is bound to be a success.
