YEP Says: We're letting down those most in need

How many more times must we read that the most vulnerable in our society have been let down by the people and agencies meant to be looking after them.

Our report today about a Leeds care home being branded ‘inadequate’ by health inspectors makes for disturbing and, frankly, depressing reading.

Woodhouse Hall, in East Ardsley, delivered inconsistent care and staff lacked experienced; activity plans for residents weren’t carried out and, shockingly, inspectors found dried faeces on a duvet and bed cover.

Unacceptable. Only when we stop seeing reports of this nature can we even begin to call ourselves a civilised society.
