YEP Says: Leeds theatre plan is a welcome move

IF LEEDS wants to continue its growth and become a truly world-class city, then it needs a number of world-class arts centres.

Luckily, it has West Yorkshire Playhouse which offers a varied mix of quality productions which are accessible to the man - woman, and child - in the street.

So it is tremendous news that this fantastic centre is set to be further improved with more theatre space and a more welcoming entrance.

It is a step towards creating a 21st century theatre which the city deserves and demands.
