YEP Says: Jo's sun campaign is so well-timed
JO KERSLEY'S tale is a salutory one. Like many young people, she was a sun-worshipper. And like many before her, she was slow to respond to signs of skin cancer which she has now been battling for 16 years.
She is the ideal person to support Sun Awareness Month Jin a campaign urging people to be aware of the symptoms of the disease and to cover up during the summer months.
Jo is careful that her four children cover up and use high factor sun cream and urges everyone to follow suit. Yorkshire Cancer Research’s appeal couldn’t be better timed now that summer has finally arrived.
