YEP says: Hero PC who clung onto van on M62 'just doing his job'

just a few days after the YEP reported on the uniformed and civilian heroes and heroines who have gone above and beyond to keep the streets of Leeds safe, we have another example of selflessness in the line of duty in the form of PC Martin Willis.

He’s the brave officer who clung onto a van which had been left teetering over the busy A1M with the driver trapped inside.

He would have to have a modesty medal as well as a bravery medal. PC Willis, a traffic offer with 10 years of experience, says he was “just doing his job”. We all have to spare a thought, and say thank you to officers like PC Willis, not just the driver.
