ROUNDHAY needs a new school. That’s a simple fact which parents and the local authority seem to recognise.

But the Government agencies have told Leeds City Council that it must self-deliver the project. In effect, it must get on with the job itself. That’s something Leeds can’t afford to do.

Parents in and around Roundhay don’t give two hoots who builds it, quite frankly, as long as it is built.

We have sympathy with Leeds City Council. It’s time Whitehall mandarins got on with their job and gave Roundhay the school it deserves. Now.
