HOW fantastic that some of the most astounding works of art ever made are coming to Leeds.

Leonardo da Vinci’s creations are significant to art-lovers and historians and the fact that they are going on a provincial tour rather than staying in the Royal Collection at Windsor Castle is great news.

The Queen’s Gallery in Buckingham Palace will then show, in May next year, “the largest exhibition” of his work in over 65 years.

It is good that the people of Leeds and other cities across the country can play host to these treasured items.

It will be a marvellous coup for Leeds.
