World record Mannequin Challenge attempt in Leeds

Leeds's biggest shopping mall is calling on visitors to join its world record attempt to create the UK's biggest Mannequin Challenge.

Trinity Leeds is bidding to outdo a version filmed on a flight from Manchester Airport involving more than 200 passengers.

Held on National Christmas Jumper Day this Friday, wannabe mannequins are invited to gather in the Trinity Kitchen food court at 10am.

They will then be asked to strike a pose and keep perfectly still while the freeze-framed scene is videoed and uploaded to social media.

Marketing manager Dan Wharton said:

“We’ve seen just how popular the Mannequin Challenge has been on social media and we want to raise the bar.

“Everyone can get involved – from shoppers and office workers to mums, dads and children. Just come down to Trinity Kitchen at 10am on Friday, December 16 and strike a pose.

“Don’t forget to wear your best festive outfit as we’re hosting the record attempt on National Christmas Jumper Day.”
