A world-class line-up of dancers, choreographers and musicians came together for a special performance in memory of much-missed Leeds teacher Ann Maguire.
Ann’s daughter Emma, a dancer with the Royal Ballet, organised the Ann Maguire Gala 2017 which took place on Sunday at Leeds Grand Theatre.
Hosted by well-known British dancer/choreographer Wayne Sleep, the evening featured a number of Emma’s fellow dancers from the Royal Ballet as well as performances from Northern Ballet, BalletBoyz and Leeds Youth Opera.
Money raised by the gala will go to the Ann Maguire Arts Education Fund which gives out grants to enable and develop the create aspirations of young people. The evening also included performances from Max Cookward and Henry Etherington, two recipients of individual bursaries from the fund.
