Their frontman Kelly Jones famously supports Leeds United despite his Welsh roots.
So it’s perhaps no surprise that indie rock band Stereophonics will be heading to Leeds on their new UK tour.
The band today announced a date at the city’s First Direct Arena next year on Saturday, March 10.
News of the tour comes ahead of next month’s release of their 10th album, Scream Above The Sounds.
Tickets for the Leeds concert go on sale at 9am next Friday, September 22.
Speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post in 2001, Jones revealed his older brother introduced him to the delights of following United.
He said: “I had all his old replica Admiral kits from the 1970s passed down to me.
“I have been a few times, but it’s difficult for me to get to games because of band commitments.”
