INDIE BANDS The Wonder Stuff and Levellers took centre stage at Garforth Arts Festival’s closing night Playground Party.

Around 3,000 people attended the event, which was held in the grounds of Garforth Academy.

Festival director Dave Evans said: “There was a great atmosphere, with lots of kids doing arts and crafts activities.”

Staged this year for the 10th time, the festival started on June 30.

It was supported by Arts Council England, School Partnership Trust, Garforth Academy, Youth Music and Leeds City Council.
