Woman rescued from Leeds flat blaze

A woman has been rescued from a burning flat in Burmantofts.

The adult casualty was taken to safety before three fire crews from Gipton and Leeds arrived to put out the blaze in Back Nowell Place today at around 11.30am.

The rescued woman was rushed to hospital by ambulance to be treated for smoke inhalation. Crews used four breathing apparatus at the scene.
