Woman rescued after falling into slurry pit

Firefighters were called to the rescue of a woman who had fallen into a slurry pit on Friday night.

Crews from Easingworld, Acomb and York were called to a site near Lund Bridge, Easingwold, to reports that a woman had slipped into the pit.

Firefighters worked alongside paramedics to rescue the woman, and she was left in the care of ambulance staff.
