A woman fought off a sex attacker who pounced on her in Leeds.

She was pushed to the floor as she was walking on Hough Top, in Pudsey, around 4am on Saturday, March 14.

Police said she managed to fight off her attacker - an Asian male in his late 20s - and escape.

They are appealing for witnesses to the attempted sex assault, at the junction to Harley Gardens, to call them on 101.

Det Chief Insp Paul Fountain said: “Thankfully the woman managed to escape from what must have been a very traumatic ordeal for her.

“I am appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward and tell us what happened.”

The man is 5ft 8ins to 5ft 9ins, with wavy hair, and was wearing a white polo shirt.
